Regional Sales Director (Asia Pacific)

Client is a leader in flow control and instrumentation systems for the oil and gas industry and are looking for mature and experienced individuals from the region for the position.

The Role:

  • Lead and coordinate all sales activities in the region, defined as East Asia, Southeast Asia, plus the states of Oceania (Philippines, New Guinea etc), excluding Australia and China
  • Identity major and minor project opportunities for all products and services and ensure that these are being pursued by the team best able to deliver a successful result
  • Position reports to Managing Director, or if required, directly to HQ in Europe.
  • KPIs are defined on regional sales target for each year, together with other non-financial targets

Reponsibilities

  • Understand the business opportunities taht exist in the region and report these to colleagues and Management.
  • Recommend which opportunities should be pursued, taking into consideration all internal and external resources available.
  • Develop tactics to win targeted projects, work with local sales teams in the region and elsewhere as required
  • Present products and services of the Company and offer technical explanantions of these
  • Understand local opportunities and suggest local sales management tactics and strategies to help secure the business
  • Work with Management of the support teams in the region, and to enhance their acceptance and recognition by customers
  • Work with Director of Global Accounts to communicate news and information which supports the Global Account strategies of the Company; create opportunities for improvement of Global Account relationships
  • Develop annual strategic and operational sales plans for the region, with a 5 year focus, working with partners and peers in the region
  • Be aware to developments and changes in the field of Functional Safety in process automation

Requirements

  1. Good recognised degree in Engineering, preferably electrical and electronic engineering
  2. Experience in process automation and/or  E&I system controls for the oil and gas/petrochemical/water treatment industries
  3. Min 7-8 years of solid sales leadership and management experience.
  4. Demonstrated leadership in strategic sales operations.
  5. Candidates who are billingual in English and Mandarin will be an advantage.
  6. Must be willing and able to travel extensively (more than 50%)

Sales Engineer

Purpose of the Job:
To achieve monthly and annual sales revenue targets for the full range of Company products and services.
Key Result Areas:

  • Servicing of existing customer base assigned.
  • Development of new customers and new applications for existing customers.
  • Identification of new opportunities and new applications within the assigned territory.
  • Generation of enquiries from customers
  • Receiving enquiries, quoting for the work, negotiating contracts and closing deals.
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Teamwork with all colleagues to achieve broader goals.
  • Assist in collection of receivables.
  • Compliance with Company procedures certified to ISO standards.

Other Requirements:

  • Liaise and deal directly with clients at all levels.
  • Be able to ‘troubleshoot’ at installations on customer sites.
  • Cross selling of other Aggreko services and solutions
  • Completion of daily call reports and  weekly call plans.
  • Any other duties considered essential for effective operations and services.

Person Specification:

  • Able to work long hours in demanding conditions.
  • Local driving licence.
  • Experience in dealing with power generation equipment.
  • Local market knowledge
  • Computer literate, can use spreadsheet calculations and MS Word quotations

PRE-SALES ENGINEER

Location: Singapore, with regional responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide pre-sales technical support and to assist customers on technical matters by proposing solutions and technical support to system integrators, developers and end-users.
  • To handle project management for solution ie handle projects and coordination among divisions by communication with our regional sales companies and Japan head office.
  • To manage system integrator ie plan and conduct technical workshop including programming,on-site technical support and provide good advice.
  • To engage with end user ie visit and propose solutions by presentation and demonstration of products, and understand customers’ requirements and needs through effective communication.
  • To be involved in product launch which includes planning and conducting product training and to perform market surveys in order to identify local market trends and needs.
  • To prepare presentation and demonstration materials for above-mentioned activities for new and existing corporate and government customers and system integrator on business product range and new product.
  • To develop firmware on Company products that meets customer’s requirements and test our products on customers’ system environment.
  • To lead staff as team leader ie planning, coaching and skills transfer.
  • Report-writing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma Degree / diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Studies or equivalent from recognized institution.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of working experience in the related field. Preference will be given to those who has at least 2 years of working experience in firmware development.
  • Must have firmware development experience.
  • Must be willing to travel and meet customer.
  • Preferably have good presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Independent, highly motivated, pro-active and result oriented.

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Sales, Singapore, you are responsible for effective sales effort through developing new customer accounts, exploring new sales opportunities through existing customers, advising customers on product adaptations and introducing new products to customers.
