PRE-SALES ENGINEER

Location: Singapore, with regional responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide pre-sales technical support and to assist customers on technical matters by proposing solutions and technical support to system integrators, developers and end-users.
• To handle project management for solution ie handle projects and coordination among divisions by communication with our regional sales companies and Japan head office.
• To manage system integrator ie plan and conduct technical workshop including programming,on-site technical support and provide good advice.
• To engage with end user ie visit and propose solutions by presentation and demonstration of products, and understand customers’ requirements and needs through effective communication.
• To be involved in product launch which includes planning and conducting product training and to perform market surveys in order to identify local market trends and needs.
• To prepare presentation and demonstration materials for above-mentioned activities for new and existing corporate and government customers and system integrator on business product range and new product.
• To develop firmware on Company products that meets customer’s requirements and test our products on customers’ system environment.
• To lead staff as team leader ie planning, coaching and skills transfer.
• Report-writing

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma Degree / diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Studies or equivalent from recognized institution.
• At least 2 to 3 years of working experience in the related field. Preference will be given to those who has at least 2 years of working experience in firmware development.
• Must have firmware development experience.
• Must be willing to travel and meet customer.
• Preferably have good presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Independent, highly motivated, pro-active and result oriented.

Clinical Support Engineer (Medical Devices) [CLOSED]

Purpose: The position performs on-site training for new and existing customers and performs telephone/modem support to the customers in the continuing use of the Company’s products.

Duties

• On-site clinical application training for entire product line (50% of job time).

Plant Engineer [CLOSED]

The roles of the Plant Engineer (PE) include ensuring the plant’s equipment and assets are maintained regularly to minimise machine downtime and disruption to the production of Marine lubricants. Other tasks involve participation on upgrading of the plant assets and continuous improvement on the efficiency of the manufacturing process.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance of plant facilities and critical equipment including hot oil heater, pumps, piping, storage tanks, process controller, compressors and electrical equipments as well as instrumentations.
• Assist in maintenance and engineering works carried out in accordance to local authority legislation requirements, ISO Standards, Company Engineering Standards, Company Integrity Management Standards and Company Safety Management System.
• Assist in general maintenance of buildings and structures, office facilities, electrical systems and lighting.
• Direct reporting to Engineering Manager for ensuring proper control of work and proper execution of risk assessment prior to issuing of work permits.
• Performing the role as Operational Loading Master overseeing shipping operation (with possibility of shift duty)

Toyota to build new battery plant

TOKYO : Toyota Motor Corp., seeking to stay in pole position in the fuel efficient car race, unveiled plans Friday to build a new factory producing batteries for eco-friendly vehicles.

The move comes amid growing competition between Japanese automakers to tap demand for economical cars amid soaring prices at the pump.

Toyota’s joint venture with its partner Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. plans to spend 20 billion yen (192 million dollars) to build a plant in Kosai in central Shizuoka Prefecture, said Toyota spokesman Hideaki Homma.

Toyota has taken a lead in sales of hybrids, selling more than one million of its Prius model — the world’s first mass-produced hybrid — since its launch about a decade ago.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Include special duties and responsibilities)
Manage the IT Voice Team responsible for phone systems worldwide. This includes creating, executing, validating, and modifying based on customer feedback the telecommunications strategy for all Company locations globally. This also includes all IP phone deployments, migrations, call center and ACD requirements, and operations. This role will manage the global dial plan and ensure consistency with all directories within Company as well as call center dialing plans. Program Manager, Semiconductor Production and Process

Your Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for a Program Manager to lead in multiple projects of widely varying technical scope such as the transfer of existing and new products and processes from our Product Introduction Center in San Jose, CA or back end manufacturing facility in Penang Malaysia.  Responsibilities could include the management of improvement initiatives in integral product yields from epi through to finished product for product lines spread across multiple manufacturing sites.  This position is expected to interface with yield, process, test, reliability and packaging engineering in order to drive issues and customer concerns to resolution.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership for every project being managed, motivate and coordinate the efforts of team members over the project lifecycle.  Team members are likely to be spread geographically between California, Singapore and Malaysia, and the Program Manager will need to network successfully within the company to secure the adequate attention of these resources, who would likely be assigned to projects as part of a virtual team / matrix-managed structure.  The Program Manager will also be responsible for keeping projects on schedule, and for highlighting issues and potential roadblocks to management.
Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Materials / Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or other relevant discipline
• Minimum of 8 years experience in semiconductor project management
• Proven ability and flexibility to lead successfully in a complex, cross-functional multinational virtual environment
